Publication Ethics Statement

Medivara Jurnal Inovasi dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (MJIPM) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal follows the principles and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and promotes ethical conduct in publishing community service and community empowerment articles.

All parties involved in the publication process, including editors, reviewers, authors, and publishers, are expected to adhere to ethical standards to ensure the quality, credibility, and integrity of scholarly publications.

Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the manuscript's originality, academic quality, relevance to the journal's scope, and contribution to community empowerment. Editors evaluate manuscripts fairly without discrimination regarding race, gender, nationality, religion, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs.

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and avoid any conflicts of interest during the editorial process.

Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions through objective, constructive, and timely reviews. Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and should not use unpublished information for personal advantage.

Reviewers are expected to identify relevant published work that has not been cited and report any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical misconduct.

Duties of Authors

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original works and have not been published or submitted simultaneously to another journal. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of data, information, and activities reported in the manuscript.

All sources of information must be properly cited. Any financial support, funding sources, or potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed.

Plagiarism Policy

MJIPM strictly prohibits plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism. All manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software before entering the review process.

Manuscripts containing substantial plagiarism, fabricated data, duplicate publication, or unethical practices will be rejected immediately.

Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that could influence the publication process. Any potential conflicts of interest must be declared transparently.

Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the planning, implementation, analysis, writing, or revision of the manuscript. All listed authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.

Corrections and Retractions

If significant errors, inaccuracies, or ethical issues are identified after publication, the journal may publish corrections, retractions, or other appropriate notices in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Research and Community Ethics

Authors must ensure that community service activities are conducted ethically, respect community rights and cultural values, and prioritize participant welfare. When required, authors should obtain permission, informed consent, or ethical approval from relevant institutions before implementing activities.

By submitting a manuscript to MJIPM, authors agree to comply with these publication ethics and uphold the principles of responsible scholarly publishing.
